This publication explores translation of feminism in China via analyzing a number of chinese language translations of 2 ordinary feminist works: The moment Sex (TSS, Beauvoir 1949/1952) and The Vagina Monologues (TVM, Ensler 1998). TSS exposes the cultural building of lady whereas TVM unearths the pervasiveness of sexual oppression towards ladies. the feminine physique and feminine sexuality (including lesbian sexuality) represent a problem to the chinese language translators as a result of cultural alterations and sexuality nonetheless being a delicate subject in China.
